Mongbwalu Gold Project

The Mongbwalu Gold Project is Horizon's flagship gold development project, located within the prolific Kilo-Moto Greenstone Belt in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Based on AngloGold Ashanti's historical Mineral Resource Estimate, the project hosts 11.5 million tonnes grading 7.82 g/t gold for 2.9 million ounces, making it one of the highest-grade undeveloped gold projects in Africa. Since acquiring the project, Horizon's own technical work has further enhanced its understanding of the deposit and reinforced confidence in its long-term development potential.

Following the commencement of construction activities, Horizon is advancing Mongbwalu through a phased development programme towards first gold production. Alongside engineering, procurement and mine development, the Company continues to evaluate the significant exploration potential across the broader licence area, where numerous targets and deeper extensions offer considerable upside beyond the existing resource. By combining disciplined project execution with responsible community engagement and environmental stewardship, Horizon is developing Mongbwalu into a long-life mining operation that will deliver lasting value for all stakeholders.
