Earthworks Commence at Mongbwalu Gold Project

Horizon Corporation has commenced major earthworks at the Mongbwalu Gold Project in the Democratic Republic of Congo, marking another important milestone in the project's development. Following the completion of site clearance and topsoil removal, excavation activities are now underway at the future processing plant, while preparations continue for the development of the Adidi box cut.

The construction programme has continued to advance across the site, with process plant earthworks progressing, permanent fencing installed around key mining areas, and ongoing upgrades to access roads, camp facilities and supporting infrastructure. Geotechnical drilling has confirmed favourable ground conditions for the planned box cut and portal, providing further confidence as the project moves into its next phase of construction.

Development at Mongbwalu remains focused on establishing the infrastructure required for future mining operations while maintaining close engagement with local communities and stakeholders. With engineering, procurement and construction activities continuing in parallel, the project is steadily progressing towards the next stages of mine development.
